Proposers Day: NASCENT 2026

The Information Innovation Office (I2O) is sponsoring an unclassified, hybrid Proposers Day in support of the anticipated National Security Economic Theory (NASCENT) Program Solicitation (PS). The event aims to provide information on NASCENT technical goals and challenges, address questions from potential proposers, and offer an opportunity for potential proposers to align their research with NASCENT program objectives. The NASCENT program seeks to establish a principled theoretical foundation for geoeconomics, enabling evidence-based economic statecraft and defining a rigorous scholarly field of quantitative geoeconomics. Its objectives include testing the technical hypothesis that economic mechanism design, computer science formal methods, and experimental economics can be combined to construct a robust scientific framework for geoeconomics, and preventing strategic surprise by building methodologies and tools to anticipate and mitigate unintended consequences of economic statecraft.
