Description: The City of Wilmington is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of Digester 4 at its Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work includes engineering, procurement, demolition, reconstruction, and related services for the anaerobic digester system. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 8, 2026, and sealed bids are due November 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

The Wilmington Regional WWTP Digester 4 Rehabilitation project includes the replacement of the existing floating cover with a new fixed type digester cover, upgrades to process control, instrumentation and internal digester piping.
The project will rehabilitate the existing gas compressor facilities at both plants. It will include seismic upgrades to the gas compressor buildings, rehabilitation of electrical and i&c systems, and rehabilitation of other necessary auxiliary equipment.
Work icnludes approx. of 16,870 SF of landscaping; 13,000 Sf of bituminous pavement; 16,560 SF of concrete coating; 228 LF of 3/4" conduit (PVC); 104 LF of 1" conduit (PVC); 7,314 LF of 3/4" conduit; 5,982 LF of conduit; 17,602 LF of #4/0 conductor; 17,181 LF of #1 conductor (15kV); 40,043 LF of #14 conductor.
